More info +Vital Pathways (VP) is a Healthy Communities Organization that works on area-wide community issues by connecting people of diverse backgrounds and affording them the opportunity to work collaboratively to achieve results that make a difference in Southern Aroostook County, Maine. VP has received resolutions of support from the 12 communities covered in our area.
STOP- Southern Aroostook Tobacco-free Outreach Project is now known as Healthy Aroostook.
STOP, one of the original 13 Healthy Maine Partnerships, has been in existence for 12 years. We have been part of Houlton Regional Hospital almost the entire time. When the last grant ended in July 2007, HRH decided they did not want to reapply due to the cost of carrying the grant.
Sugar House to be the next addition to the Bird Farm. VP Board member Dan Jacobs is working to build a Sugar House with grants and donations on the Bird Farm property behind the Houlton High School.
